CarlESs Fuel Tanks
Before demolition began, all the usual health and safety precautions were taken, in addition overhanging foliage was carefully trimmed back to avoid risk to mature trees and bushes. All tanks were checked by hand held gas monitor to ensure that there were no dangerous gases present.
Above ground tanks were removed by 360° excavator fitted with hydraulic steel shear. Underground tanks were demolished by two machines working in tandem removing the steel work to tanks, cutting and loading until work complete. The concrete slabs were broken out, stockpiled and crushed for reuse by client.
D6 Bulldozer carried out leveling, leaving the site clean and tidy upon completion.
